You’re not alone!
Coastal Nurture lovingly offers both in-home and virtual doula services.
IN-HOME Postpartum Doula Care in the Crystal Coast, NC area
When you invite me into your home as your postpartum doula, my focus is on your health and well-being as well as the needs of your newborn baby. This ranges from simply being a listening ear to preparing meals, providing care so you can shower and nap, providing evidence-based information and guidance, infant feeding support, running errands, and more.
VIRTUAL Postpartum Doula Care
Maybe you are looking for a postpartum doula but don’t have any nearby. Or maybe you just prefer to have virtual support, either over the phone or via a video call, instead of having someone in your home. Either way, I can help... whether you just need a one-time consultation or several weeks of ongoing support.

-
A postpartum doula provides non-medical, emotional, educational, and practical support to families after the birth of a baby. My goal is to help you feel more confident and supported as you recover, learn your baby, and adjust to your new family dynamic.
-
You are welcome to reach out during pregnancy to discuss your needs and reserve support. Because availability can vary, I recommend connecting as early as possible. However, if your baby has already arrived, it's never too late to ask for support!
-
Our consultation is an opportunity to get to know one another, talk about your pregnancy or postpartum experience, discuss your family's needs, and determine whether Coastal Nurture is the right fit for you. There is no judgment and no pressure—just a conversation about how I can support you.
-
Absolutely! Coastal Nurture welcomes and celebrates LGBTQ+ families. Every family deserves compassionate, respectful, and judgment-free support during the transition into parenthood. I proudly support LGBTQ+ parents, partners, adoptive families, non-traditional families, and families of all backgrounds.
My goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where you and your family can feel seen, respected, supported, and cared for. 🌈💙🌊
You are welcome here. Your family is welcome here.

Yes. When appropriate, I may help with simple tasks that allow you to focus on yourself and your baby—such as washing bottles, preparing a simple snack, tidying the baby's area, or starting a load of baby laundry.
-
Absolutely. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to feeding a baby. I provide nonjudgmental support and education whether your family chooses breastfeeding, bottle feeding, formula feeding, pumping, or a combination of feeding methods.
-
No. Postpartum doulas provide non-medical support. I do not diagnose medical conditions, provide medical treatment, or replace your physician, midwife, pediatrician, or other healthcare providers. If a medical concern arises, I will encourage you to contact the appropriate healthcare professional.
-
Yes! Welcoming a new baby can be a big adjustment for the entire family. Depending on your family's needs, I can provide guidance and support with helping siblings adjust to their new role and encouraging positive connections between siblings.
-
I provide developmentally appropriate newborn education and support around normal newborn sleep patterns, soothing, routines, and realistic expectations. Newborn sleep is very different from older-child sleep, and my goal is to help families understand their baby's needs while following current safe-sleep recommendations.

Coastal Nurture proudly serves families throughout the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, including the surrounding communities of Cape Carteret, Emerald Isle, Swansboro, Morehead City, Beaufort, Newport, Cedar Point, Atlantic Beach, Havelock, Jacksonville and New Bern. Availability may vary by location.

It's easy! Reach out to Coastal Nurture to schedule a complimentary consultation. We'll talk about your family, your needs, and the type of postpartum support that would feel most helpful.
Because every family deserves support.
There is a major lack of high-quality information and support during a time when we need it the most.
The first few postpartum months as a new parent, for the first time or welcoming another baby, can be challenging, overwhelming, joyous, sleep-deprived, and so much more.
Being supported at this time with skilled postpartum doula services supports your growth as a new parent and can be the difference between simply surviving or thriving.
